Live route dispatch is here

A faster train no longer has to spend the whole circuit behind a slower one. During a run, every route can be switched live between FIFO and a safe pass at the next shared city.

We’ve added live departure management for individual routes in Railweave.

During Run, every active route can be switched between:

  • FIFO — first in, first out: the first train to arrive is the first to depart.
  • City passing: after genuinely catching a slower train, the faster train departs ahead of it once at the next shared city.

This is not an on-track overtake or permanent priority. The faster train must be travelling in the same direction on the same route and must actually catch the slower service at the normal safe gap. Only then can the next city safely change their departure order.

On mobile, the new Routes button sits between Services and Efficiency in the bottom bar. Traffic management is completely absent from Build — it is switched live only while trains are running.

Every route keeps its own mode, the choice applies at both endpoint cities, and the setting remains saved for later levels.
